Taking a break from homework!
So I'm finally getting back to blogging after a very long break. My semester ends in 3 weeks from yesterday. I'm getting a little bit stressed out because there is so much pressure on me to graduate with my Associates this semester so that I can be done at Weber. I'm just taking the end of my generals, which is an exciting thought, and I love 2 of my classes, but my intro to music class is killing me this semester. That is the one class that should be no problem for me. I've been reading music since I could read words. I'm not excellent at playing the piano, but I can play. I don't understand why I just can't get through this class. There are 80 quizzes that I have to do before the end of the semester and I also have to go to 4 concerts. As of today I've done just over 40 quizzes (hopefully 45 by the end of the night) and I've gone to 2 concerts. I only have 3 weeks left! I'm dying trying to find concerts that I can go to. I'm a big baby about doing things by myself, but with the wedding, everyone is so busy that I feel guilty asking anyone to go with me, or even finding time to go myself. I don't want to ask Lyle to take time off because he has already been so great about taking time off so that we can go register for gifts and to go pick out tuxes and little things like that. I'm so grateful for his willingness because I can't say that I would take time off for anything for the wedding. I'm a huge stickler about asking for time off. At the last branch that I worked at it was absolutely terrifying to ask for any personal time. It was like a huge committee had to decide if they could manage without one part-time teller for one day. They usually had 2 people come in all day to cover for one person that was gone. Now I just have it ingrained in my head that asking for time off is bad. Anyway, I'm a little nervous that I'm not going to figure it out by the deadline for them to be submitted. My stress level is escalating as the wedding gets closer. It's just over a month to go, and I still don't have my wedding dress. I ordered it the week after we got engaged, which was 2 and a half months ago. It had to come in from China but they originally told me that it would arrive in the states before March 20. I still hadn't heard anything on the 20th so I called the shop and they said that the dress wouldn't be in for up to 3 weeks. Then they called my mom and told her that they would be overnighting it on April 7 and it would for sure be here by today. Well can you guess what the ending to this story is? It's still not here. It will supposedly be here Tuesday but I'm not holding my breath. The dress is absolutely gorgeous. They just posted the pictures online in the last week or so. Lyle has seen the pictures and he says that it fits my personality. Here's the link to the dress: Bridal Expressions. I'll be so extremely sad if it doesn't come this week because then it will be too late and I'll have to pick another dress off the rack and hope that they can finish my alterations on time for my bridals. In better news, my invitations are done! If anyone that I haven't contacted wants one just let me know! My fabulous future brother in law Garrett designed them and I think they are so much fun! I'm really happy with the outcome. Now I get to address all the envelopes and stuff them! It will be a happy Easter weekend! I'll just be glad when all the stress of the wedding is over and I get to enjoy more of life with my new husband!
