The Honeymoon!

So we're married! It was an awesome day and I'm so glad that so many friends and family were able to come share in our happiness. We won't have the wedding pictures back for almost a month still but we've seen them and they turned out really well. Lyle was pretty sick that morning with what we think was food poisoning and he did so well that you can't even tell in any of the pictures. He was feeling great by the reception though and we had so much fun on our honeymoon. It's sad to come back to real life.

We spent our wedding night at the Anniversary Inn. It was fun but I personally don't think it's worth the money. It wasn't as cool as we thought it would be. We left for Las Vegas the next day. My grandparents were so kind to let us use their timeshare. It was so nice to have a full kitchen so that we didn't have to eat out all the time. We went to the Sam's Town buffet for dinner. I wasn't feeling so well afterward so we just rented a movie and went to sleep early. The next day I remembered to take pictures!

We stopped at the famous welcome sign first.

Then we decided to walk the strip even though it was well over 100 degrees outside.

We ate lunch at the top of the Stratosphere. It was really cool but made me a little bit sick because the restaurant turns the whole time. The food was so good though!

We went to the Secret Garden which houses all of Siegfried and Roy's animals and also has a dolphin habitat. It was really neat but all of the animals were sleeping because of how hot it was.

That night we went to an excellent Italian restaurant in the Venetian and had really good authentic Italian food. Lyle really enjoyed it. Then we went to see Phantom. It was so good and the pyrotechnics were very impressive! We had like third row seats. My husband loves me very much!

On Sunday we went to see the Las Vegas temple and also went to church. Then afterward we got massages and had a very relaxing day at our condo. Lyle made dinner that night on the grill.

Both Sunday and Monday we spent time at the pool. Neither of us really got tan but it was nice to be outside before it was 100 degrees. I think we picked the hottest week of the year to go to Las Vegas. It was never below 101 or 102 the whole week.

We both bought cool sunglasses because neither of us knew where ours were. I love the $10 store!
